Wine tasting: Portugal – the Douro Valley – port and table wines from £31.20 – TW9 4DU
Wine tasting and document display
When war with France got in the way of the Bordeaux wine trade in the 17th century, English merchants switched their attention to the north of Portugal.
The Methuen Treaty in 1703 forged a trade alliance with England encouraging wine sales, leading to the development of the Douro Valley as Portugal’s most important wine region.
In this special wine tasting event, you’ll explore both white and red table wines and three different styles of Port.
